The Builders of Color Coalition CORE Fellowship convenes a cohort of regional, minority-owned real estate firms, meeting for monthly learning and implementation sessions over the course of six months. Each session is comprised of modules that address core elements of real estate development, which are taught by industry experts. Through the program, participants are also provided access to financial institutions, development firms, and government agencies, to substantially expand their professional networks.

The program will lead participants through modules addressing core elements of real estate market analysis, bidding, contracting, financial reporting, risk management, and project management. For a sample curriculum, please see here.

Applicants to the CORE Fellowship must be an employee or owner of a minority-owned company or firm that is regionally based in the Greater Boston area. Preferred applicants will have completed or worked on at minimum two to three development projects of any scale or scope. Eight to twelve firms will be selected for each cohort, and each firm can enroll 1-3 participants, with at least one participant being at an ownership or senior executive level.

The fellowship registration fee is $500 per firm, and the remaining $12,000 cost per participant will be provided by sponsors of the Builders of Color Coalition.
